| ABSTRACT |
|
For people with painful acute and chronic wounds, experiencing wound pain can be as challenging as coping with wound itself. Although the wound pain problem is significant, little attention has been pain to this issue among wound care specialists. The Chronic Wound Pain Experience Model is useful to understand the pressure ulcer pain. Pragmatic suggestions for addressing procedural and nonprocedual pain are presented.
