ABSTRACT
Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are important cause of superficial infection associated with contaminated environment and invasive procedures especially in the immunocompromised patients. Diagnosis of NTM infection is often difficult because the routine bacterial culture cannot detect the NTM, and it has no reponse to routine empirical antibiotics. Therefore, a high index of clinical suspicion is essential for diagnosis and treatment of NTM cutaneous infection. (J Korean Wound Management Soc 2012;8:80-83)
