| ABSTRACT |
|
Injury to the abdominal wall is a challenging situation for surgeons due to its severity and complexity involving various kinds of tissues from skin to viscera. Unlike many other traumatic defects, complex abdominal defects cannot be reconstructed with a single stage approach. This case describes a sereve abdominal injury requiring reconstruction for abdominal wall, soft tissue and large area of skin. We are sharing our experience of extensive and multistage reconstruction through this case report. (J Korean Wound Management Soc 2013;9:103-105) |
